YOG is getting Cute, Cuterer and Cuterest

I can't help it. I'm tickled pink by Lyo and Merly!

No, the real glee comes from the news of Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports reported by the Straits Times.

The YOG budget skyrocketing from $104M to $387M is cute! [Link]

The "brisk" sale of 80,000 YOG tickets sold by MYCS to MOE as reported by ST is cuter![Link] and [Link]

The engagement of ex-stripper Bobbi from Sydney to choreograph the opening ceremony of YOG must be the cuterest! [Link]

I wonder how much of $387M goes to Bobbi?

Without comparison, this must be the "betterest" [Link] YOG opening ceremony there is and ever will be! As to how big the crowd or how exciting the games will be, who knows? Will we see as many countries participating like we have seen in FIFA's World Cup? Will there be a YOG version of Paul the Berlin Sotong picking up winner of each event?

Well, if only MCYS and ST were bold enough to promote and spice up pole-dancing Bobbi's involvement in YOG, the tickets may have been sold out by now!

  1. It is sure as the rise of the Sun tommorrow that the YOG will be exciting and wonderful. Evidence? Read the Strait Times or watch CHannel News Asia/Ch 5 and all the other local tv channels, the Day after the YOG Closing Ceremony.

    Fish,
pole dancing seems to be exclusive to girls. About time our young men be given a shot at it, full monty with military boots and helmet only.

The guest of honour should be LKY and he can decide whether it is a waste of taxpayers' money exceeding original budget by more than 3 fold.

ps: PM Lee should direct Vivian and Teo Ser Luck to arrange a lap dance for the old man.

  3. Cost over-runs aside, some important guy is already trumpeting the economic benefits of staging the YOG.

I wonder what the shops and restaurants in Suntec City have to say to this, having experienced all the 'benefits' of the two important events staged at their doorstep not long ago, resulting in the closures and barricades.

Talk about the dumb trying to fool the wise.

  4. While Malaysia has obviously decided to stop wasting taxpayer's money to buy paints to splash on walls to advertise their grand achievements under Mahathir, we are taking up from where they left off.

Oh, no need to say more, it will be a success for sure, in the head.

  5. I hope those tickets snapped up by MOE are not going to be unloaded onto parents by force, through the kids.

  6. Caught the news of PM Lee in Houston who told his American audience that Spore's spending of $11.5 billion on defence is in order to feel safe. I suppose safe enough for his familee members and elites

Aaaahhh, now I understand why he has 1MM,2SMs,2DPMs plus 3Ms in the PMO...to make him feel safe.
I wonder if the Mayor of Houston is aware.

So in reality Mr Fish, the $387 million for YOG is merely entertainment expenses...to make lesser mortals happy...so that PM Lee can feel safe.
