Paptism No More!!!

So the Millionaire Mentor and the Senior Millionaire figured it's time to go. However, the Prime Millionaire has not decided on their resignations. Well, if Eric Tan has left Workers' Party, I'm not surprised that Lee Kuan Yew and Goh Chok Tong are leaving the cabinet. Anyway, the cabinet is already broken by the careless handling of the hammer in Aljunied!

The reasons for their quitting will be debated to death but I figure:
  • MM has to go because of his stubborn callousness. His smug reply to Charlie Rose after he said he "stand corrected about the Malay/Muslim community not able to integrate in Singapore society" shows the sincerity of the man. Can a human arrogantly hurt a community, said he "stand corrected" under pressure, then add salt to the wound of the community by asking Charlie Rose, "Go ask the average person if I'm right?". He doesn't need spurs but if he's not harnessed, he is capable of causing a race/religious riot in Singapore!

"Regret and repent"? I think most are "rejoicing" at a broken cabinet without MM and SM!

Another reason he has to leave the cabinet is he has to "kee chiu" to an ex-Army chief.
  • SM has to go because the relationship between the Prime and the Senior is currently as good as that of Low Thia Khiang and Eric Tan. Furthermore, SM has to babysit Kate Spade Salah Peilin for the next 5 years!
Environmentally we are are getting the haze but isn't it great that since 8 May 2011, we are having a breath of fresh political air at last! The self destruction of the redundant (chobolan) and over-priced MM and SM may just be the beginning of the depaptism of Singapore! Since 1965, we have been brainwashed and paptised by those in white.

With the demise of the positions of MM and SM, (yes, its sheer stupidity to carry on with these despotic costly "bo leow" appointments) I would like to see the depaptism of the following in due course:
  1. NTUC
  2. HDB
  3. CPF
  4. PA & Community Clubs
  5. Residents' Committees (RC) and Citizens Consultative Committees (CCC)
  6. PCF and other educational institutions and schools
  7. GIC and Temasek
  8. All Statutory Boards
  9. All Sports Organisations
  10. Election Department
  11. ISD and
  12. WhateverTheyHaveTheirHandsOn
Sedikit sedikit lama lama jadi bukit! I'm an optimist! The above will be depaptised and become transparent and independent if we the citizens of Singapore push on with our voice and our votes! Don't keep quiet just because the election is over. Keep reciting our pledge daily and feel in our hearts the injustice and inequality the bullies have imposed upon us! Isn't it sad that they got pension while still on the job at 55 while we cannot even encash all our CPF when we are 55!

Question: Apart from the $3mil salary plus 8 months bonus, does the Prime Millionaire also currently receive:
1) Pension of a Prime Minister or a Finance Minister
2) Pension of a Brigadier General?

Actually, with all the explanation given by Teo Chee Hean and the PMO Office by the msm today, would it not be simpler if they just call a spade a spade and let us know the exact millions that PM Lee gets every year!

Or am I being too optimistic?

Hi, probably my mom was right after her joy when I broke the news to her last night. She said the two of them are just wayanging just to cool the ground... Prob still has significant say behind the scence...

You said it right, it's simpler to just let singaporeans know just how much doughs these pappies are getting salary+pension etc...

The people has missed this golden opportunity to pry open the pap and look inside with just one GRC fall, I worry by next GE our votes might be diluted by new citizens...

Regards...

Fish,
Not so fast, must wait and see if Ah Loong can walk without stumbling now that both men agree to let go of his hands.

After that, must see if Ah Loong has the nerve to kick some asses in his PAP. Plenty of asses if he cares to check on line for a comprehensive list.

Having said that, I will take it as PAP foreplay only.

Why is the MM telling us that the younger people in the cabinet can now have the room to break from the past. Doesn't that indicate that prior to his resignation, control was still in his hands?

Rest assured he will not really retire. He is still an MP and will be in Parliament helping to fix the now bigger number of opposition MPs, several of them having backgrounds in law. That tells me Loong is not going to relish the confrontation without his old man.

So, I would say, the hope that Loong can stand on his own feet is wishful thinking. The tempo of the song changes, but the lyrics remain the same.

I read and reread TCH response abt ministerial salaries n pension t make some sense but at the end was none the wiser. They sld just give us the numbers in plain English. How much? All tis jumbo jumbo for what? Same way they hv responded to questions from oppo MPs in the past. So sick of all this farce. Quite scary to think that by next election votes will be diluted by new citizens who wld be so beholden to the papies for giving them the citizenship. Sigh! Sld we start a people's revolution like that in philipines

They say that they leave the cabinet but still retain their MM and SM title ? What is change then ?

It just like a emperor that claim that he will leave the palace, but then he will still be emperor ! What is change ? You know bullshit when you smell one !

ANS: ALL OF THE ABOVE.

Just looking at the list of organisations controlled or affiliated to the PAP, and you really must say that with those propaganda arms controlling the minds of voters, the opposition parties still managed a 40% share of the votes is truly amazing.

And we still say that Singaporeans are daft. That description should be applied to the other 60% that still believes in Paptism, without which they believe the world will end.

Great writing and astute observation. All those high salaries for ministers, and here I am, a 53 year old graduate woman, willing to work for half my previous salary in 2007, yet 100+ plus applications to the civil service/stat boards later, I was not invited to a single job interview and am still jobless. BTW, I resigned from my previous job to be a filial daughter (as required by PAP doctrine) to look after my ill parents so the govt wouldn't have to. Now what reward do I get from the govt - I am sidelined, rejected, ignored for doing what is right. From 2008 till now, I am still applying for jobs. That is another reason why I didn't vote for the PAP.

That is why they still did not get it. They still believe it is the younger voters who go for the opposition.

The reality is that it is the older generation that did them in in Aljunied GRC, besides helping the WP in Hougang and almost cost them a few other GRCs.

Ever wonder why ex-MM is telling the younger leaders to look after the elderly? This is never a part of the old man's character. Something must be troubling him that only he can sense it.

Dear Anonymous of May 17, 2011 5:02 PM,

I feel for you.

Years ago, I was down and out with a heart attack and was out of work and out of income for many years. I had some savings and with my insurance payout and borrowing some, I managed to get by and provide for my wife and kids. I held on and make do without asking for Public Assistance. My dignity would not allow me to be insulted by, "You want 3 meals in a hawker centre, food court or restaurant?".

Sometimes, during those difficult times, I felt like walking into the sunset and say, "Goodbye, cruel world." I have learned that when faced with challenges, we can choose to be bitter or better. Though it is easier said than done, I'd very much like you to know that "Better is the Only Option"

Today my kids are independent and doing ok. They are decent in making sure that their mum and dad are well taken care of and not have to prostrate and beg for PA.

I, like you, vote for alternative political party because, if I may borrow from Michael Jackson's 'This Is It's hit, "All I wanna say is that they (PAP) don't really care about us!"

The divide created by them will take time to heal. If they continue to 'talk cock & sing song' without concern and empathy for people like us, they may soon be challenged in ways not unlike Egypt.

"Resentment" as spoken by pappies now may soon turn to hate which may lead to violence!

We need kind action and sincerity. We do not need cheap "trash talk"

The kangaroo must also be depaptised. Otherwise it will cause more harm to the people. Already, it has kept Dr Chee away from standing for the election, otherwise SDP would have got more than 40% voters shares.

Mr Fish, thank you for lifting that elephant from my chest too. I feel the same but unable to put it into words.

Yes, I would like to know what the Prime Millionaire and the rest of them get, net figure, please!

Dear Riverside,

Thank you for reminding me of the elephant ;) It's a real de-stress for me when I write. It lightens me up when I know that there are like minded people who feel like I do.

It is just so frustrating getting the shit-end-of-the-stick from the rulers who act like they care. Yeah, acting and caring only for themselves! PAP - People's Acting Party?

The shit-end-of-the-stick that's thrown at us includes, but not limited to, CPF, HDB, GST, ERP, FT and whatever that they do to enrich themselves while treating us like dirt.

Sadly as much as we question, we may never know how disgustingly rich they are. The trickery and the filth of self-interest has been entrenched for so long that the only way that we may know is when the majority in the parliament is no longer in the hands of the Party Against the People (PAP)

Hopefully, we'll see it in 2016. Meanwhile, let's pray that all the opposition parties (in my humble opinion did very well this year) will continue to co-operate and hopefully unite as one to bring the People's Arrogance Party down!

The story of the ex-MM and ex-SM still having the services of PPS and PS [http://www.temasekreview.com/2011/06/28/lee-kuan-yew-still-has-private-and-press-secretaries-in-prime-ministers-office/] shows the the unbridled power of the power that is.

Yeah, I guess it's back to basic! The only way to depaptise is to vote them out in 2016!

Doable? Of course!

Meanwhile while enjoying the wayang, let's not be fooled again!!

Cheers,
