Just Who Is Entitled To Entitlement Mentality?

So how has the NATCON progress?

Poor sod, ST Editor reminds all that NATCON needs to focus attention on critical issues at hand. He has now set an agenda on what we should 'con' about. ST Nov 11, 2012 Think Page 45

Sadly for him and PAP, the way things are, it's degenerated into a self-talk between PAP and mainstream media.

The lastest charm offensive was at the Singapore Children's Society where the Prime Minister said, "The government cannot, and should not do, try to do everything. It is too impersonal. It can be bureaucratic and help then becomes a matter of social administration, not of care and compassion. And eventually, this fosters an entitlement mentality, instead of a sense of mutual obligation of and of gratitude between the helpers and the helped." [Link]

Oops! To who does this entitlement mentality belong? Though it hurts, let's wise up to the fact that entitlement mentality of the less endowed is less harmful than entitlement mentality practised by the rich and powerful!. Here are some good examples:
  • PAP MPs who think they are entitled to and deserve to show off their faces and advertise themselves cheaply at every street corner at every festivity, be it Chinese New Year, Hari Raya, Christmas, Deepavali, Moon Cake Festival, etc.

  • PAP Ministers who think that they are entitled to and deserve obscene salary
  • PAP MP who think that they are entitled to special privileges, rights and power in messing with rules, regulations and laws. Did you hear of PAP MP Seah Kian Peng instructing traffic warden not to issue summons for offenses committed? [Link].
  • Attorney General who was entitled to read and interpret English in a funny way when Lee Hsien Loong, Goh Chok Tong and Tony Tan were caught in a polling station in Cheng San GRC. "Plainly, a person inside a polling station cannot be said to be within a radius of 200 metres of a polling station" [Link]
I'm sure readers would have known of more incidents of 'entitlement mentality' practised by others. It'll be good to hear from you.

Meanwhile, you may like to read this [Link] and watch the following to dig deeper into what entitlement mentality is all about.

From the way that PAP treats FTs so differently from the way it treats Singaporeans (what with one calling us "dogs"), this angry foreigner in the video above in his entitlement mentality may even think that he can get away with murder!

  1. But if you own this red dot, shouldn't you be entitled to all those privileges, especially your presence in parliament to make laws that you can interpret whichever way you want to entrench yourself further?

What does the PM thinks about the action of our important foreigners...

    The Party of Traitors?

  5. My primary school teacher taught me that a radius is the distance radiating from the centre to form a circle. Now that then AG wants us to believe that a radius can also be interpreted (maybe under strict intruction from the Emperor) as the distance from the perimeter of a polling station. But is that a circle, maybe the learned ex-CJ can now pray tell us ?

Why should PAP leaders be entitled to this type of cunning treatment by the AG Office ?

    "comment from another foreigner"

Why should ONE single comment from a foreigner lend more credibility than the thousands of similar comments from Sinkies?

Are you a Domestic Traitor also?
Are you a Pro Alien Party internet troll?

  7. The key phrase from PM Lee is;
" ... instead of a sense of mutual obligation of and of gratitude between the helpers and the helped."

The Pro Alien Party do not want to provide any form of social services to Singaporeans.
They want all of us to beg their Pro Alien MPs at the Meet-the-People-Session for help.

But the Pro Alien MP 'helps" you with taxpayers' money. NOT money from PAP.
So really, you are begging them to help you to use your own money.

The Pro Alien Party deliberately want us to become totally dependent on them. So that they can control how we vote.

  8. For the daft 60% who voted in the pap, the entitlement is more unhuman policy from the gov. Social spending by the pap is super low and yet their pay is entitled to be super high. Vote wisely and we wouldn't be in this situation.

  9. The son of a nobody get hung for a little packet of 15gm, while some other jerks with parents who are possibly higher mortals get caught with a whole lot of shit weighing just 14.999gm?

And Temasek is in partnership with the biggest heroin manufacturer on some Myanmar projects and he is entitled to walk around freely in Singapore.

  10. The very serious question that we have to consider is who are the people entitled to the huge reserve that we have accumulated.

Surely it is not any political party or politician.

I am impressed by the Reform Party who wants to distribute the reserve to Singaporeans. Yes, we, the citizens of Singapore, are entitled to the reserve that we have built over 50 years.

  11. Unfortunately, Olivier Desbarres is not the exception. With these angmohs, HE IS the "general rule". Most of them behave badly...rude, loud & vulgar. Always trying to impose their western standards and idea of democracy on others. The BIG difference between him and all those rude etc etc angmohs is that the latter were not caught on camera.

Any angmoh reading this -always remember you are a guest here (and not here to prop up the sky for the rest of us Singaporean. As a guest, one must always put on your best behaviour or the host will have the right to not have rude guests in his house. PLEASE dont come here and behave as if you own the house!!

"PAP MPs who think they are entitled to and deserve to show off their faces and advertise themselves ..."

The question is who owns the company that supplies & installs all these posters and signboards of the Pro Alien Politicians?
I would like to see the owner identified.
And to check if he is a card carrying member of any political party.

Yes, but angmoh is guest of the Party of Traitors. Not your guest.

"PLEASE dont come here and behave as if you own the house!!"

The angmoh may not own the house.
But Singaporeans do not own the house either.
The house is owned by the Pro Alien Party.
Singaporeans are also guest workers here.

  15. Why is it that every problem you face or see in SG, it's always the fault or brought about by Pro Alien Party? Which style of government do you prefer? What kind of policies do you think should have been implemented? I can go on and on...It is always easy to tear a structure down. Try building one. WTC was brought down in less than an hour but how long did it take to build it?

Guys, cum'on...be fair in your comments about Pro Alien Party. Show me a better govt or a better run place that encapsulates all that you want and I'll show you a pig that can fly. Try living in another place like in KL or Jakarta or Bangkok or HK (or any other place of your choice) and then tell me you are worse off here. If that place you have chosen is all rosy and meet all that you desire, then try to visit, stay for a while and speak to the taxi driver...It's always nice when you are ONLY there for holidays.

I am what you will call "apolitical". For everything is that's good, there will always be something that is not so good that comes with it. Life is short, enjoy your time with what gives you the most happiness and least angst...or take a rod and go fishing...free your mind and the rest will follow...

  16. " Try living in another place like in KL or Jakarta or Bangkok or HK (or any other place of your choice) and then tell me you are worse off here."

yeah yeah yeah, then why didn't this very commentator try to live in these countries instead ? Better still, please go to unstable iran , iraq, or some africa distant land where man-eating lions roam the place ... surely this clown will appreciate singapore more ? Question is why always make this argument that only lesser mortals should go to these unfavourite place if they are not happy with the state of governing , not the gods and demigods of SinCity who exploit and benefit from milking the system they engineered to preserve their power and weath ?

Only stupid fool like pap trolls can bring forth this type of argument.,

  17. A government of highly paid, highly educated traitors is always better than a government of patriots ... yeah?

    ReplyDelete
  18. "Question is why always make this argument that only lesser mortals should go to these unfavourite place if they are not happy with the state of governing" - I have. Have you?

It's all perspective. Look into the mirror before calling someone "stupid". If you can do a better job, get into the system and change it. Which government doesnt engineer to preserve their power. Are you even remotelty aware of the power struggle in US, France or in the Middle East, or closer to home, in Malaysia & Indonesia, or Vietnam?

    Grow up, my friend.

Take a fishing rod, sit by the Singapore river and reflect...if you need company, I will send some earthworms your way.

  19. "It's all perspective. Look into the mirror before calling someone "stupid"."

If you want people to stop saying you are stupid, by all means, stop making stupid arguments about asking people to go to unfavourite place and go to change the system when people voicing their unhappiness.

What you saying is not alternate view but insults to people reading this blog. You think that people reading writing and reading this blog is simpleton like commentators who masquerade nonsense as view ?

Please stop giving us damn stupid nonsense like other countries are worst off than us... you means that these clowns pay themselves the most ridiculous salary in government , and tell lesser mortals "we are still better off" than other worst-off countries. Or which party doesn't want to preserve power and wealth ?

Seriously, you can do better than that.

Please grow up yourself and have fun somewhere, but not here giving us nonsense non-critical view.

Go and visit your PAP site and have fun deluding yourself there.

  20. All Pro Alien Traitors have this character trait.
"If you are not happy, please leave Singapore."

    Traitors being traitors.
They have nothing in common with us Singaporeans.
It is really the Pro Alien Traitors who should leave Singapore.

  21. "Grow up, my friend."

    Huk pui!
    You are not our friend.
    You are a traitor.

  22. "Which government doesnt engineer to preserve their power.."

Oh, yes.. they also engineer their own concept of heaven and how to qualify their entry. Along with justice too.. their own idea of how to select students using PSLE, vehicular control, birth rates etc.

To you and me, million dollars mean one thing, to them its another.

  23. Dear Mr Feed Me To The Fish,

Some of your readers have so much anger that put together will generate enough nuclear energy to power a submarine for months but sadly their brains can all be squeezed together into a spider's testicle...I think I better go back to just reading your blog and ignore all these comments posted by some of your readers.

To these readers that spewed so much anger, hatred and venom on those that do not agree with your view, learn NOT to miss the wood for the trees when reading comments from others and putting forward your argument. Otherwise, I would suggest go get a fishing rod, sit on Changi jetty and reflect while you patiently wait (oh, dont forget the bait, otherwise you will wait forever...I have to be sure since you keep missing the wood)

  24. A re-qoute from a very wise man..

For a little bit of stability and security...you can always tell the ones who "sell" their freedom and dignity too easily...

As to the white clothed parasites an their cronies...know this..once the host body (singapore) dies...parasites can only turn either on one or another...else try to find a new "host" body to live off again...

I only see a "gov't" that talks more its own entitlement, more monies for themselves, more comfort....more finite rubbish for themselves...than leaving a singapore and its people in better hands as one moved on...i only see a bloated self serving parasite..

I won't fight or make sacrifices for the parasites...i just walk away...and let the parasites do the dying by then...too bad a lot of innocent folks and the kds will suffer...

Not my problem...these problems were created by parasites..need i say more.

    Guten Tag.

A govt of Pro Alien Traitors
    Vote Wisely

  26. if the PM says the govt should not try to do everything and it's too impersonal, ask him to stop controlling our freedom of speech and expression. You cannot on the one hand, asks someone to shut up and not think, and then expects the same person to be creative, innovative, entrepreneural. Human minds dont work that way. We will never have a Bill Gates or Steve Jobs as long as we have such controls in place.

    ReplyDelete
  27. So what makes you think the Pro Alien Traitors want you to think?
What makes you think they want a Singaporean Steve Jobs?
Another rival Singapore model for success that's different from their fascist model?

    PARADIGM SHIFT

What is good for Singaporeans is not good for the Pro Alien Traitors.
    If true.
Then what makes you think the Pro Alien Traitors are working for the benefit of all Singaporeans?
