'Whole Lotta Love' in Beijing but 'Dazed & Confused' in Singapore
While Led Zeppelin's Jimmy Page did the all time favourite 'Whole Lotta Love' with pop star Leona Lewis in Beijing, people especially Singaporeans were 'Dazed and Confused' when Straits Times reported: OUT . . . Singapore's table tennis team manager told to leave . . . Fate of head coach also hangs in the balance in shock move by STTA chief.Anthony Lee sacked by STTA chief Lee Bee Wah is another interesting 'happening' in Singapore.
Being on the "Stairway to Heaven" after winning the silver medal, it is indeed a sad joke that Singapore Table Tennis Association (STTA) president Lee Bee Wah and Project 0812 chairman Ng Ser Miang may go into a boxing match over the decision. Ng Ser Miang said he was 'shocked at the timing as well as the manner in which this decision had been made'.
MP's and other news makers have put in their 2 cents worth on the issue. Ultimately, I guess The Man ( Lee Hsien Loong or Vivian Balakrishnan) will tell them, "Whatever the 'Honest Mistake' (whoever made it), Move On!".
Like Michael Phelps, Usain Bolt & Jamaicans, Jimmy Page with 'Whole Lotta Love' made Beijing Olympic extraordinary! Wow!
If only I can say the same for the Singapore silver medal.
ps: To those who are not into Led Zep, Dazed & Confused, Whole Lotta Love and Stairway to Heaven are songs I of my teenage years :) Next to Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page is considered World's best guitarist.

It's all Stupid. The very fact that we have to spend lots of moneyt to 'buy' this medal. I am not one atom prouder before nor after the win.
The sacking is just the start. Do I hear LJW intending to quite or something? Come on, forget it.. if we don't have the passion nor the talent (time, whatever), just live and let live. Singapore is none the better nor the worse.
I would rather spend money trying to nurture and let more people enjoy the games with the Olympics as inspiration.

This medal doesn't make one iota of difference to me. The one won by Tan Howe Liang does, because he is a true blue Singaporean.
And the stupid quarrelling is akin to stirring a shithole, the more they stir, the more stinking it becomes.
