So how many COI's do we need?

SMRT is having a PROBE to be headed by Ong Ye Kung for their mess in their Mass Rapid Transit Fiasco.

LTA is having it's own INVESTIGATION.

PM Lee has ordered a COI.

Pardon me for being lost but how many COMMITTEES OF INQUIRY do we need???

Or how many hands (jobs/jerks) do we need to fix the light bulb?

Being in the little red dot that we reside in and the little MRT system that we have, do we need an ORGY of PROBE, INVESTIGATION and COI? For the sake of everyone, why can't they do it FASTERER, CHEAPERER AND BETTERER? (Ya, English here that is no better than announcements heard in MRT stations, but still can, lah!)

Productivity? My foot!

It seems to me that instead of all hands on deck, most are working with only one hand. The other hand is needed to cover the backside!

Self preservation at its best!

Oops, or is it wayang at its best?

Another after thought: Will we be surprised if, one day, one of the SMRT trains ended up lost and then found in Johor Bahru . . . like Mas Selamat Kasturi? Possible?

Well put. The COI to be conducted by Ong Ye Kung is a waste of time.
First of all Mr Ong is not independent being a PAP candidate (albeit unsuccessful) in the Aljunied GRC recently. Next, as Mr Ong is a member of the SMRT Board who appointed the Malaysian woman CEO, can we expect him to investigate why and how he himself, together with his own colleagues, chose to appoint a CEO who knows nothing about nuts and bolts to run our train system? Does Mr Ong expect the junior officers of SMRT to say anything bad about their CEO in front of the CEO who will continue to be their boss after the investigation? This is wayang that has developed into a fine art. If Mr Ong wants credibility he has first to suspend, if not remove, the existing CEO in order for the junior officers to speak out fearlessly.

The purposes of the SMRT internal inquiry are

(1) For Ong to profile himself and keep himself in the public eye so that he can run in the next by-election

(2)It is to "coach" the SMRT employees what to say when it comes to the public COI.

(3) It is to remove any incriminating evidence (i.e. documents) before the public COI looks at them, so that everything is whitewashed by then.

Hehe..

me thinks the Public is more interested in the removal of incompetent leaders than any COI which they know very well are all just wayangs.

The important thing is not how many COIs there are going to be; but rather what are the terms of references?

Joke / Satire

SMRT probe is called full dress rehearsal number 1.

LTA investigation is full dress rehearsal number 2.

These 2 dress rehearsals will ensure that every document and person is in the right place. And everybody is singing the same song.

Don't be surprised if there are some resignations along the way by people who can't follow the script.

And then finally, the grand opening of the COI.

But all this while, the 3rd rail track is held together by a plastic cable tie!!!!

What a joke.
This innovation must have come from our expensive research institutions.

New Singapore Straits Times English word "Pond"

Satirical use of the new word "pond".

There seems to be a flood (I mean "pond") of investigations into SMRT.

Party Against People received a pond (flood) of membership applications from newly minted millionaires who want to see poor elderly Singaporeans work till they are in their nineties.

They think Singaporeans are easily fooled by putting one of their own to head the COI.

Fact is, Singaporeans are really sick of their wayanging and are waiting for 2016 to tell them enough is enough.

Someone said to vote wisely. And I may add, courageously.

Talking about Wayang, the silence seems deafening at the committee headed by Gerald Ee to review PAP salaries. Probably, they have not started at all, the committee is another form of holiday, vacation with plentiful extra pocket money. Did I hear some leader on vacation regulary (to park their ill-gotten) while their salaries are supposed to be frozen until the review is out?

Another wayang, our judge granted travel approval a flight-risk new zealand guy who hit our taxi driver at Suntec City. When the guy did not return to serve his charge, our judge cried foul. Isn't this another Wayang of one cuntry two systems?
